To finish our season at Wilderness Tours we are taking a tour out to Morocco. This is a tour that will thrill your senses, with every turn of the wheel. We will ride on tarmac only, although parts of the road we will take are not in the best state of repair.
Out route will take us through the country from north to south. Along the route you will experience the wonderful northern city of Chefchaouen, the roman ruins of Volubilis, down through the Middle Atlas, before reaching the ‘hamada’ to the south of the High Altlas mountain range. The Dades gorge, the film studios at Quarzazate and the drifting sand dunes at Erg Chigaga, are things that you will never forget. We turn west to hit the Anti Atlas range in the beautiful town of Tafraoute, before reaching the Camel gates of Tan Tan, our most southerly point on this tour. We then head back up the Atlantic coast to the old Spanish enclave of Sidi Ifni, and finish the tour with a day in Marrakesh before heading north for the border and back to Spain. A big days ride to traverse Spain and back to the ferry port for home.
What you will need:
You need to have European breakdown and insurance cover, these documents need to be brought with you, some companies do insure for riding in Morocco, but don’t worry if not- you can get this at the border. Wilderness tours will provide recovery to get your bike back to Spain, if breakdown happens in Morocco. I will help everyone at the border to get their paperwork in order and the information sheet provided with the booking form will give you the details of required paperwork and advice for travel with documents.
The cost for this trip is £2200 per person (£1800 sharing), and you will require to share on the ferry to and from Spain. Prices include ferry and accommodation inc breakfast and evening meal and recovery cover of vehicle from Morocco to Spain.
